Does anyone else have GIF loading issues?

Only on Kinja. Other sites load GIFs fine. Check out this GIF I made of GIFs not acting like GIFs

This has been happening for a while now, and it's getting more and more frustrating. Sometimes I have to F5 15-20 times just to get the GIFs to load properly. Ernie, if you read this, you should still have my browser info from the thread I posted yesterday (or the day before? I forget)

I would go as far as saying that you and the GIF have a very intense relationship. Maybe it felt used? :(

Not the half-borked loading issues you're having but Kinja has been on the PMS-fueled Rag From Hell for me all week. Stuff doesn't load, it forgets I'm logged in, etc etc etc

Hey, if you view those gifs in another browser such as Chrome or Firefox, do you have the same issue? Trying to pinpoint the source.

On Chrome 31.0.1650.63 m the entire dance party loaded just fine

Here you go . It's on nearly every page, across Gawker properties, that has GIFs either in the article or comments (which is pretty much every single one)

I had Steve try loading these gifs on a similar environment as you and he had no problems on the first load. Are you on a slow(ish) network connection, old(er) computer, or have any aggressive plugins installed?

Core i7-3770 with 8 GB RAM, no slowness here. Dual 50Mb pipes, no bandwidth issue. No plugins installed.

Definitely better than it was before! Instead of 80% partially loaded GIFs, I'm probably closer to about 15%.

This is manageable
